Who we are ## A travel guide built on going there. The Authentic Greece started with a simple idea: the best travel advice comes from people who have actually been to the place, eaten at the table and walked down to the beach. Greece is far bigger than its postcards. There are thousands of islands and islets, a mainland of mountains, gorges and lakes, and a food culture that changes from one valley to the next. Most of it never makes it into the usual top-ten lists. So we go and see for ourselves. We travel to every region of the country and we write guides that answer the questions you will actually have: how to get there, where to stay, where to eat, which beach to choose and when to go. Our promise is simple. If a place is wonderful, we will tell you why. If it is overrated, overpriced or overcrowded in August, we will tell you that too.
