This Privacy Policy explains how The Authentic Greece (theauthenticgreece.com) collects and uses personal data when you visit the website or contact us. We collect as little as possible and we never sell your data.

## 1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is **REDPLUS+**, Xenofontos Stratigou 43, 49132 Corfu, Greece, telephone +30 2661 800 000, email [ai@redplus.gr](mailto:ai@redplus.gr). You can contact us at these details about any question regarding your personal data.

## 2. What data we collect and why

### When you browse the website

Like every website, our server records technical information when you visit a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. We use this information to deliver the website, keep it secure and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our security software records IP addresses of failed login attempts and suspicious requests in order to block attacks. These records are kept for a limited period and are used only for security.

### When you use the contact form

If you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you and to handle your request. The legal basis is your request and our legitimate interest in answering it (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your request and for no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

### When you leave a comment

If you comment on an article, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser information to help detect spam. Your name and comment are published; your email address is never shown publicly. Comments are kept for as long as the article is online, and you can ask us to remove yours at any time.

## 3. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the website to work, for example to remember your preferences or to keep you logged in if you have an account. These do not require consent.

If we use analytics or advertising cookies, for example Google Analytics to understand which guides are read most, we will only do so after you give your consent through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

## 4. Third-party services

- **Hosting:** the website is hosted by a hosting provider that processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- **Google Fonts:** the website loads fonts from Google’s servers. When it does, your browser connects to Google and your IP address is transmitted to Google. See [Google’s privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- **Embedded content:** articles may include embedded content from other websites, such as videos or maps. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you under its own privacy policy.
- **Links to other websites:** our guides link to hotels, restaurants, ferry companies and other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

## 5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers mentioned above, to the extent needed for them to provide their service, or with public authorities when the law requires it.

## 6. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- restrict or object to the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [ai@redplus.gr](mailto:ai@redplus.gr). We will reply within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifisias 1-3, 11523 Athens, [www.dpa.gr](https://www.dpa.gr).

## 7. Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

## 8. Children

The website is intended for adults planning a trip. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

## 9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
